Fowler on Palin's qualifications

The South Carolina Democratic Chairwoman, Carol Fowler, in an interview with Politico today said McCain had chosen a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn?t had an abortion.?

The Democrats are becoming a laughing stock. After Bush they had this election in the palm of their hand but they can't keep their mouth shut.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">There's some truth to that. More qualified Lieberman and Ridge were passed over specifically because they are pro abortion.

Palin was NOT McCain's first choice. Lieberman was. Palin was actually about 4th down on the list. She is the result McCain kowtowing to the wacky religious right.

Anecdotal:

The guy who sits next to me at work casts his vote based on two issues that he feels transcends all others:

abortion
gay marriage

After that everything is secondary. Palin was brought on board to appease people like him.

She certainly has little else qualification-wise.
